magnetic man

Liew Thow Lin, a 70-year-old retired contractor in Malaysia, recently made news for pulling a car twenty meters along a level surface by means of an iron chain hooked to an iron plate on his midriff. He says that he discovered he had the amazing ability to make objects stick “magnetically” to his skin, and now he’s added car-pulling to his repertoire. After reading an article about a family in Taiwan who possessed such power, he says he took several iron objects and put them on his abdomen, and to his surprise, all the objects including an iron, stuck on his skin and didn’t fall down. Since this “gift” is also present in three of his sons and two grandchildren, he figures it’s hereditary.

Isn’t it cool to have a grandpa like this? *wink*

Today’s lifestyle is mobile and that could mean a cross-country move. Maybe the move is for a job or to get closer to family or maybe retirement is in the picture. It isn’t as simple as having a moving van back up to the house and carry out your belongings. Nor is it just across town. After all, just how much stuff do you really want to move? Advance preparation will ease worries, confusion, stress and financial issues.

Cross Country Move

Here are the steps in preparing for your cross country move:

- Start by sorting through everything. Have a system. One room could hold boxes and bubble wrap or paper you will need for packing. If you have a hired a moving company, you can get extra boxes and wrapping paper from them. If not, find a source for sturdy even-sized boxes. Ones that copy paper comes in are a great size, usually have hand holds, and you can’t be tempted to put so much stuff in them that it takes a fork lift to move them.

I was bored to death that’s why I decided to google for some interesting stuffs. I stumbled at Tarot.com and I was kind of loving the results from trying different tests. LOL. Here’s an example » Tarot Compatibility Meter:

The Chariot The Lovers

“The Chariot” and “The Lovers”

The mystic meets the philosopher in a combination that can either clash or cooperate depending on how mature these individuals are. Chariot lives in an independent world of ideas while the Lovers world is highly emotional and interdependent. Yet both can learn from each other. The emotional sensitivity of the Lovers soul at one level appeals to Chariot, who really does want to access deep feelings. When this intellectually astute thinker celebrates the tender and connected communication skills of the Lovers soul instead of being afraid of them this union begins to flourish. It usually depends on the Chariot bending to accommodate the creative and feelings-based Lovers. Lovers is already willing to accommodate anyone, let alone a primary partner. At its best, this combination can create beautiful art and philosophy together. At its worst, the Chariot will steer clear of the scary irrational Lovers soul.

I was the Chariot and “He” was the Lovers. How cool is that? LOL.

Nowadays, finding a job is really difficult. Based from my experience, one cannot easily land a good job. Well, first thing I’ve noticed is most employers need job seekers who already have job experiences. If that’s the case, what will happen to the fresh graduates? Duh.

At first, I wasn’t able to land a good job. I’m a computer engineering graduate but I applied in all types of field — teller in the bank, marketing officer in a mall, a call center agent, and so much more. Yeah, that’s reality and I have no choice but to deal with it. At first, I landed a job as a call center agent here in our place but it only took me 3-4 months. I didn’t liked the job that’s why I decided to quit. Later on, I found what I’ve been looking for. I decided to work home-based and at the same time I continued applying my skills with programming, making sites and doing computer jobs too. I’ve been doing this for more than 2 years already and I really, really love this job!

Britney Spears was one of the celebrities which were considered as Worst Dressed in the 2010 Grammy Awards. She wore a black long sleeve lace dress with a black body suit by Dolce & Gabbana. In my own opinion, she could have picked out something much nicer and better. What do you think?

Our sorrow over the loss of a loved one can cloud our otherwise rational judgment. This can easily lead to exorbitant funeral costs that could be avoided. These avoidable costs can easily add up to thousands of dollars. You can still arrange a thoughtful and well organized funeral and only spend the fraction that the plans the funeral homes may present you with. You can also pay monthly installments in most situations.

You’ll Need:

  • Funeral Director
  • Friend who is not grief stricken
  • Detailed funeral cost list
  • Funeral benefit records

How to Save a Substantial Amount of Money on Funeral Costs:

I. Prearrange your own funeral. The hard reality is, is that all of us will one day die. Prearranging your funeral will take off the stress and financial responsibility that would otherwise fall to your loved ones. You also remove some of the temptation for your loved ones to splurge on silly costs in an effort to make your funeral ‘nicer’.

Just this morning, when I was about to clean my kiddo’s room, I accidentally slipped and it caused me some bruises in my knees. I guess I stepped on something, small toys scattered all over the floor to be exact — which I didn’t saw at all. What a luck I have today. Grrr. After that incident, I manage to get up and continue with cleaning. I was really tired of sweeping the floor and mopping it too to prevent dusts to stay on our floor tiles. When I was about to bring the broom and mop outside the room, I slipped again! WTH. And the reason? Wet floor. Grrrr. It added bruises not only in my knees but in my elbows as well. Oh well, I guess I’ll have to be more careful next time. LOL.
