With Google getting 100′s of millions of hits a day and millions upon millions of websites listed, standing out from the crowd is not easy, but will be hugely profitable. - The fastest and easiest way to get your page rank up is to add to web directories. When adding to web directories always consider there PageRank. There is little point adding to a site with PageRank 1 but adding to one with 7 or even 8 will boost you hugely. Also, try to mainly add to sites which don’t require you to link back as you will gain less PageRank.
- Don’t just add your site to Google. Add it to Yahoo, Bing, ask, Search light, AltaVista, HotBot and so on.
- Be particular about who you link to. It is not a good idea to link to sites with a low PageRank as this may damage yours. Also ask for a return link so you may gain/loose less PageRank.
- Instead of typing in the URL when you want to see your site search it on google. Google promotes sites people search for.
- If you sign up for a form always put a link to your site. It is an easy way to generate links.
- Build a site map for your site – there are websites which will do it for you as it can be quite difficult.
- Never get complacent as other sites are always trying to beat you – keep increasing your PageRank or watch yourself move down the ladder.
